About the C-Max
Ford C-Max warning lights can be a confusing sight when they start to flash on the dashboard.
C-Max owners want to know what these dash symbols mean, and how to turn them off so they don't continue distracting them.
Ford offers explanations for each of the warning lights in their owner's manuals but flicking through them can be time-consuming.
You can find an overview of the possible warnings you may see in your C-Max on this page that you can click and then view more detailed explanations for.
History of the C-Max
It is available in both three and five-door hatchback body styles with front or four-wheel drive.
The C-Max has a large cabin and an expansive cargo area, with space for up to seven passengers. Ford claims that the C-Max is “the first car in its class to offer rear legroom as generous as a mid-size MPV”.
This car comes standard with Ford's latest infotainment system called Sync, with a more detailed warning system than its predecessors.
The Sync system from Ford is voice-activated with "400 commands." and the company claims that this makes its infotainment system “easy to use, safe and responsive.”
The driver's hands are always on the wheel at all times when operating Sync. It has a screen positioned high like a tablet which extends across the dashboard, creating an interactive interface.
Ford Sync is usually compatible with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, but it also has other perks. For example, Ford's AppLink includes apps like Pandora and Stitcher, as well as Ford tools like remote start and security features.
