About the Pacifica

A lot of the warning lights for the Pacifica are shared among many of the recent production cars available from Chrysler which you can find listed on the left (or above if you are viewing the mobile version).

To replace the Chrysler Town & Country minivan range that had lasted 30 years the auto manufacturer released the Pacifica.

With customers getting delivery of the first examples in 2006 they found it was not the same as an SUV that held the Pacifica nameplate for 3 years before and was in fact a much better minivan.

This minivan has won over the public and is seeing record sales year on year thanks to its ideal blend of minivan and SUV features.

Its most recent generation of design has the choice of a 3.6-liter V6 engine or a plug-in hybrid that can see the car through 33 miles of range on electricity alone.

The internal combustion engine version of the Pacifica is fitted with a 9-speed automatic transmission and the hybrid features a CVT.

Another massive selling point for the car is the fantastic safety rating with 5 out of 5 stars achieved for all disciplines of testing, apart from rollover as is common with this sort of vehicle.

In 2020 the Chrysler Pacifica was also released under the revamped Voyager nameplate with features stripped back to make a more affordable version.

You can expect to see a four-wheel-drive version in 2021 with updated technology for mobile device connectivity.

Common Pacifica Warning Lights

These are the most common warning lights that appear on the dashboard of the modern Pacifica minivan.

An "A" In A Circle

The most common warning light to appear on the newer Chrysler Pacifica minivan model is the "A" in a circle.

This "A" warning light represents a fault with the automatic stop-start feature in your car.

When investigated it usually comes down to the battery failing, sometimes you have two batteries fitted to provide the power needed or one really big one.

If you restart your Pacifica and find that the problem persists then it is worth seeing a mechanic and finding out the true root of the problem.

A Red Dot

A simple red dot appearing on your instrument cluster is usually a warning that the security system in the car is alerting you to something.

It should (during normal operation) appear for 3 seconds when you turn the car - if it stays illuminated then there could be a problem.

If after restarting your car the red dot remains lit up you should consult a mechanic, the issue may be preventing the security system in the car from protecting it at all.
