About the bZ4X

The Toyota BZ4X is the company’s first-ever modern battery vehicle, taking the shape of an SUV. It is overall very impressive, with great driving range and performance, as well as a luxurious and well-equipped interior. Being the first of its kind, the BZ4X doesn’t come without its flaws, but it’s overall an excellent first attempt by Toyota.

Under the hood, the BZ4X comes equipped with a twin-motor system, which produces 214 horsepower and sends it to all four wheels. This allows the electric car to accelerate from 0-60 in just under 7 seconds. This isn’t slow by any means, but it’s noticeably slower than its competition, such as the Tesla Model Y.

The BZ4X also fails to keep up with its competition in terms of driving range. The quoted distance of 255 miles isn’t bad, but it’s just not as good as other vehicles. For instance, the Kia EV6 offers a driving range of 328 miles. This shows the BZ4X to be unable to keep up with its competition.

As for handling and drive, the Toyota BZ4X is pretty impressive. The suspension is a good mix of sport and comfort, so you’ll be able to drive fast, in comfort. And the handling helps the car to feel much smaller than it is, allowing you to keep a good line in bends.

The interior of the Toyota BZ4X is easily one of its best features. The cabin is comprised of high-quality plastic and leather, making for a very pretty and sturdy design. Nothing feels like it’s going to break, and the upholstery is incredibly comfy. There’s plenty of gadgets to keep you occupied too. For instance, an 8-inch touchscreen centre comes as standard. This can be upgraded to a 12-inch version on higher-level models.
