About the Arkana

In 2019 the Arkana made its debut as the new compact crossover SUV from Renault.

The European version of the car was built on the same platform as the Dacia Duster whereas the South Korean version was built on a newer one jointly developed with Nissan.

That Nissan platform is also at work under their Juke and the Note hatchback and eventually replaced the European version in 2020.

Inside of the car, it is very reminiscent of the Clio and the Zoe's interiors, using many of the same components and dashboard symbols.

It even sports a touchscreen infotainment system that can be one of three sizes, based on the trim you select when purchasing the car.

Over the years since its introduction, the Arkana has been offered by default as a front-wheel drive but with an optional upgrade to all four wheels being powered.

By paying for the 4WD upgrade you do lose some of the car's fuel efficiency due to the increased weight and traction.

You can opt for a hybrid system in the Renault Arkana that can capture lost energy during braking and recycle it when accelerating again.

This hybrid system can bring a whole host of new warning lights to the car that may not be easy to understand at first.

Luckily the tools available on this site allow you to quickly cross-reference these symbols and learn their meanings.
