About the Creta

The Hyundai Creta is a compact SUV that first hit the roads of Dubai in early 2022. It aims to compete with top rivals like the Mazda CX-5 and the Honda CR-V by offering a lot of technology and decent performance for a refreshingly low-price tag. The Hyundai Creta is ultimately a great choice if you’re looking to get the most out of your money, but if you have a bigger budget, other brands offer better specs all-round.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Creta comes equipped with a 1.5-liter engine, which is a new design for Hyundai, having never been used in a car prior to 2022. The engine is fine for everyday use, but the acceleration does feel a little lackluster. In fact, it will take you 12 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour, so if you’re looking for something quick, consider the 2019 Honda CR-V.

The overall ride of the Hyundai Creta is very pleasing. The suspension is reasonably soft and will absorb most bumps on the road. Although, you’ll want to avoid bigger potholes and offroad tracks, as the suspension isn’t made for these kinds of challenges. The Creta does lean in corners too, but the steering is overall fine, and more than adequate for everyday tasks.

The interior of the Creta is one of its best features. The design feels modern and sophisticated and is comprised of high-quality materials like soft plastics. There’s a decent amount of cargo space, and passengers will ride in comfort thanks to ample legroom.

There are plenty of safety features too. Advanced warning lights and sensors will make sure you’re aware of any issues with your car, and a rear-view camera will ensure you don’t bump into anything. There’s a touchscreen infotainment system too.
