About the 2 Series

The BMW 2 Series is a coupe that has been on the roads since 2014 and attempts to compete with great competition, such as the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz A-class. This car offers phenomenal performance, with some of the best acceleration of any car on the market. As a coupe, the 2 Series also represent pretty good value for money. However, it does have terrible back seats and there is no convertible option.

The newer 2022 model makes some big changes over its predecessors, as it’s part of a new generation. The new version is even faster, better performing and all-round much sportier than older models. Although, manual gearboxes have been dropped.

Under the hood, the standard 2 Series’ come equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces 225 horsepower, thanks to the help of a turbocharger. This is an excellent engine for everyday use and offers some serious acceleration.

If you’re looking for something a little more powerful, BMW does offer a 3.0-liter incline six-cylinder, which produces 382 horsepower. This will propel the 2 series from 0-60 in under 4 seconds, making it one of the fastest coupes on the market.

The overall ride of the 2 Series is very pleasing. The suspension is firm to aid in the cars’ performance, but it still leaves you with a comfortable ride. And the steering is incredibly light and accurate, making it excellent in corners.

The interior of the BMW 2 Series features some great tech and infotainment. The dashboard is a digital display and will show you everything from the speedo to your warning lights in sharp graphics. Plus, there’s an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen which comes as standard. This is one of the best on the market.
