About the Arona

The Seat Arona is a small SUV, based on the company’s bestseller, the Ibiza. The Arona is built very similarly to its rivals like the Volkswagen T-Roc and is very competitive in the market. Good style, solid performance and a well-equipped interior make the Arona a great choice for anyone looking for a small SUV.

Underneath the bodywork, entry-level models come equipped with a 1.0-litre TSI Evo 95, producing 94 horsepower. With this engine, the Arona will accelerate from 0-60 in just over 11 seconds, which might sound pretty slow, but it’s more than enough for most everyday situations. The only issue you may face is getting up to motorway speeds quickly.

As it uses the same chassis as the SEAT Ibiza you could say that this is essentially the crossover SUV version of that popular compact car.

If you want a bit more power, the highest level Arona comes with a 1.5-liter TSI EVO 150, which produces 148 horsepower. This seriously cuts down the 0-60 time, and the 1.5-liter version feels much more comfortable on the road. This spec is very expensive though, especially when compared to rivals like the VW T-Roc.

The overall handling of the Seat Arona is great. The suspension does a great job of soaking up the smaller bumps and potholes, leaving you with a comfortable ride. And the steering is sharp and responsive, allowing you to corner at speed and manoeuvre tight backroads with ease.

The interior of the Seat Arona is comprised of high-quality materials like fake metal. This makes for a modern and minimalistic design, which feels sturdy and secure. There’s plenty of boot space and legroom too, helping passengers to ride in comfort.

As for infotainment, the Arona comes with an 8.25-inch screen as standard, but this can be upgraded to a 9.2-inch screen if you want. The touchscreen is responsive, crisp and fast and is one of the best on the market. There are also other handy features, such as cruise control to make your life as a driver even easier.
