About the Versa Sedan
The Nissan Versa sedan is currently the most affordable sedan car in the Nissan lineup, with prices for the newest models starting at just $15,180. The Versa sedan isn’t exactly a car people buy for power --- it only outputs 122-hp at 6,300-rpm --- but they do love it for its economy, fuel efficiency, space and reliability.
Besides having a very pleasing sticker price, the Nissan Versa sedan manages up to 32-mpg in the city and 40-mpg on the highway. It’s cheap to insure, too, making every aspect of this car highly affordable and economical.
The Nissan Versa sedan is also blessed with 15 cubic feet of cargo space, which is a bonus since most sedans in this class only offer between 12 and 14 cubic feet at the most. The interior also offers great space front and back, as well as heated seats, automatic temperature control, but headroom in the rear seats can be a struggle for very tall passengers when compared to some rival cars.
You can choose from 3 different trim levels on the Nissan Versa sedan: S, SV, and SR, all of which have starting prices under the $20,000 mark. The top SR trim gets 17-inch alloy rims, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, remote start and more modern LED lights.
You can also find a smaller hatchback version of this car that shares many similar components from Nissan called the Versa Note in some markets.
The center stack features a 7-inch infotainment screen as standard, and the good news for those who care is Nissan hasn’t yet enforced all touch-sensitive controls. There are still some real buttons and control knobs for the infotainment, which many prefer when it comes to controlling the system while driving.
Nissan is known for generosity when it comes to safety features, and the Versa sedan gets front and rear automated emergency braking as standard, as well as rear cross-traffic alert. Other available features in the Nissan Safety Shield system include blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, and high beam assist.
