About the Ceed (incl. XCeed)

The Kia Ceed is a family car that attempts to stand out in a highly competitive market. It does this by offering buyers a number of perks, such as a seven-year warranty as well as excellent value for money and new technology. The Ceed is overall an excellent car and one of the best family vehicles you can purchase if you’re on a budget.

Under the hood, the Ceed has an impressive engine lineup. Notable models include a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol, which produces 118 horsepower and will reach 60 miles per hour in just over 11 seconds. Another great choice is the 1.5-liter turbocharged T-GDi, which produces 158 horsepower and will reach 60 miles per hour in 9 seconds. A final engine choice is a 1.6 Litre CRDi, producing 134 horsepower. This engine is only worth it for those who do very long journeys, as this engine has a great fuel economy, but lacks the performance of other engines.

The overall ride is very good. The suspension hits a good balance between performance and comfort, and you won’t even notice smaller bumps in the road. And the handling, whilst weaker than competitors such as the Ford Focus, is perfect for everyday use.

The cabin of the Ceed is of great quality. You won’t find anything that feels flimsy or less than sturdy, and the materials used are nice and soft, which increases the overall comfort of the ride. The biggest problem with the Ceed’s interior is that it is very dull and lacks any kind of personality. If you want a more exciting cabin, you might want to try the Mazda 3 instead.

The Ceed comes with a great infotainment system. Higher models are fitted with an 8-inch touchscreen that is extremely easy and friendly to use. There’s also a variety of other technological features like parking sensors which will make your life that little bit easier.
