About the i10

The Hyundai i10 is a small car that aims to differentiate itself from top rivals, like the Honda Jazz and Toyota Aygo, by offering unique styling and excellent performance. The i10 excels in terms of customization, and there’s a model for virtually every person and need. The i10 also offers reliable performance and great practicality, making it one of the best all-rounders on the market. Although, if you’re looking for something with offroad capability or a car with great boot space, you might want to look elsewhere.

Under the hood, the i10 comes with a range of options. Base models, which hit the roads in 2008, come equipped with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine, producing 67 horsepower. Whilst this does make the i10 feel incredibly slow on motorways, there’s more than enough power for everyday city driving. This small engine is also very efficient and feels very refined.

If you’re looking for something more powerful, you could opt for the 1.0-liter T-GDi engine, which produces 99 horsepower. This makes the i10 feel much more capable on motorways, but it is only available for models produced after 2020.

The overall ride of the Hyundai i10 is surprisingly good. Most city cars feature terrible suspension which makes for an uncomfortable ride, but the i10 is an exception. The car feels comfortable on almost all surfaces, and the steering is agile and precise, which makes the car pretty fun to drive.

The interior of the i10 is pretty comfortable if a little cramped. Of course, city cars aren’t built for big boots, but the i10’s interior is exceptionally small. This reduces its practicality considerably.

There are some good safety features too. Warning lights and airbags come as standard, and you can also opt for some handy features like cruise control.
