About the 6 Series
The BMW 6 Series is a sports car that has been on the roads since 2014. It feels more like a GT car than a sports car, thanks to its balance of comfort and performance and great engine. Although, the 6 Series can occasionally feel harsh and uncomfortable, due to its overly firm suspension. That being said, the car is one of the best in its class, and beats its competitors, like the Audi A4 and Jaguar XE in almost every way.
Under the hood, the BMW 6 Series comes with a choice of four engines. The starter powerplant is the 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine, which produces 444 horsepower and will accelerate the 6 series from 0-60 in just 4.6 seconds. This makes that version one of the fastest cars in its class. The engine is also pretty economical, and perfect for everyday use.
The suspension of the 6 Series is one of its weakest points. It feels much too firm, which makes for an uncomfortable ride, especially at lower speeds. The suspension has been made softer since the 2015 version was released, but this BMW still has one of the worst rides of any luxury sports car.
Thankfully, the handling of the 6 Series is sublime. The steering is very light and accurate, which makes the car excellent in corners. There’s minimal body lean too.
The interior of the BMW 6 series screams luxury. The cabin is comprised of high-quality leather, which makes for a modern and very pretty design. There’s plenty of technology to keep you safe too. For instance, this model has some of the most accurate warning lights of any luxury sports car, and features other great safety measures like lane departure warning.
