About the Genesis GV60

The Genesis GV60 is an all-electric crossover that attempts to rival top competitors, such as BMW and Jaguar. It hasn’t been released yet, but the expected date is late 2022. The GV70 shares much of its characteristics with the Kia EV6, and only time will tell whether it will be as successful.

Under the hood, the GV60 comes equipped with one of three motors. The cheapest will produce 225 horsepower, and it will send this power to the rear wheels. Acceleration is expected to be nice and sharp, but this model won’t be powerful enough for some.

As such, Genesis offers a more premium motor, which will produce an impressive 314 horsepower, thanks to a combination of a motor at the front and a motor at the rear. This model will be a four-wheel drive, and the front motor can even be turned off to increase the electric range.

Finally, if you’re looking for the most premium model, Genesis offers a Sport Plus Variant. This will have a motor producing 429 horsepower, and Genesis says that it will do 0-60 in 4 seconds. The range will of course be worse if you drive this fast though.

Inside the cabin, the GV60 is set to be incredibly futuristic and packed with technology. For instance, active noise canceling will reduce exterior noise considerably, making the ride even more comfortable and peaceful. The car will also be packed with the latest infotainment system, so expect a fast, sharp and responsive touchscreen to come as standard.

The Genesis GV60 really does look to be one of the most exciting electric crossovers of 2022. It attempts to bring speed, driving range, and luxury under one roof, and it will be very interesting to see how the car performs in real life.
