About the Seltos
The Kia Seltos is an SUV that fills the gap between the Soul and the Sportage. The car does an excellent job at ensuring practicality whilst maintaining a great style, and you’ll also get a decent engine and some handy tech to make your driving even more enjoyable.
Under the hood, the Seltos has a choice of two engines. The base model is equipped with a 2.0 Litre four-cylinder petrol engine which produces just under 150 horsepower. This is more than enough, especially for an SUV. But, if you want more power, you can opt for a turbocharged 1.6 Litre petrol which will bump the horsepower up to 175. The bigger engine allows the Seltos to accelerate from 0-60 in just 6.6 seconds, which is very fast for an SUV.
The overall ride is very smooth, and the handling feels great. In fact, you might even forget you’re in an SUV when you drive the Seltos, as the handling feels more like a sports sedan.
The story only gets better once you look inside the cabin. The Kia Seltos features a leather and plastic trim, which feels extremely upmarket. The minimalism and quality liken the Seltos to the much more expensive Telluride, which is a big compliment. Couple this with excellent driver and passenger comfort, and more storage space than you’d ever need, and you can see why the interior is truly brilliant.
In terms of infotainment, the Seltos comes equipped with a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment centre. A handy feature of this system is that you can split the screen. So, you can have the Satnav on display whilst your passenger has the radio station. This is really innovative and makes the Seltos even more fun to drive.
To top it all off, the Kia Seltos scored an overall safety rating of 4 stars, making it an all-around excellent vehicle.
