About the Venue

The Hyundai Venue is an affordable SUV crossover, that gives users excellent features for a price that won’t break the bank. If you want to save money, but don’t want to skip out on the luxuries that an SUV crossover should provide, the Venue might just be perfect for you.

Under the hood, this Hyundai is equipped with a four-cylinder engine that produces just 121 horsepower. This may seem like a tiny amount, and it is. You’ll probably feel fine lugging around town, but get yourself on an open road, and the Venue can feel downright useless. At times, it can take minutes to overtake lorries, if you feel brave enough to overtake at all. The engine size really lets the Venue down. But you do get what you pay for.

It is actually built on the same platform as the Accent, except with a taller SUV-like body on top offering a better driving position and increased cargo space.

The story continues with the rest of the handling. The steering and suspension are great in town, but they feel less than useless on a motorway or dual carriageway. The Venue is definitely built for smaller journeys, so if you do a lot of miles, you might want to consider an alternative model.

Luckily, the Venue shines as soon as you step inside the cabin. Users will be greeted by a simple, yet elegant interior. Everything is made of quality materials, and the entire interior feels incredibly sturdy altogether. You’ll even find some leather around the steering wheel and gearstick, which heighten the feelings of luxury. There’s also some great tech, like an 8-inch infotainment system.

The Venue is surprisingly spacious too. It might seem like a small crossover SUV, but it’ll comfortably take four passengers and even has a cargo capacity of 19 cubic feet, which is very impressive.

This makes the little SUV an excellent choice for families or anyone who carries a lot with them.
