History of the Crown Victoria

The Ford Crown Victoria was a mid-sized car manufactured by Ford. It was available in one sedan body style with four doors.

Buyers also only had one choice of engine throughout the 3 generations that the car was on sale, a V8.

This car was sold in the US from 1998 to 2011 and in Canada from 1998 to 2009.

The Ford Crown Victoria is a popular choice for law enforcement agencies because of its size, durability, and ability to carry equipment. The Crown Vic is also available in a special edition version that can be equipped with a battering ram for forcible entry situations.

In the late 1990s, Ford announced that they were going to stop the production of the Crown Victoria. In 2008, production ended and there was a very limited supply of 2008 models available.

As a replacement, Ford directed customers (both civilian and law enforcement) to the Taurus full-size car.
