About the Genesis GV70
The Genesis GV70 is the company’s latest version of their incredibly successful compact-luxury SUV lines. It stands out from the rest of the market with its big engines, beautiful interior and stylish exterior. However, the model does fall short in terms of passenger comfort and towing capabilities. Nevertheless, the GV70 is one of the best choices for anyone looking for a new compact luxury SUV.
It’s Genesis’ first attempt at creating a luxury SUV and aims to rival top competitors like Volvo and BMW. It starts by undercutting the market at a low price, without compromising on equipment or performance. This really helps the model to stick out in an otherwise crowded market.
Under the hood, the 2022 Genesis GV70 comes equipped with one of two engines. Buyers can opt for a 2.5 four-cylinder engine, producing 300 horsepower. Despite this being the entry-level engine, the four-cylinder makes the GV70 one of the fastest luxury SUVs on the market. But, if you want more power, Genesis also offers a 375 horsepower V6 engine. This will allow the GV70 to accelerate from 0-60 in an impressive 4.9 seconds.
Beyond this, the Genesis GV70 rides like a dream. The handling feels crisp and sharp, allowing you to use all of the power whenever you want to. And the suspension is soft enough to soak up bumps and potholes in the road, but firm enough to feel sporty and agile.
The interior of the GV70 carries on this theme of incredible value for money. The interior is beautiful, and all materials used feel of very high quality. There’s plenty of infotainment too. For instance, a widescreen infotainment display comes as standard, and there’s plenty of accompanying tech like adaptive cruise control.
