About the Blazer

First introduced back in 2019, the Chevrolet Blazer is a mid-size crossover SUV that fits right into the middle of the current Chevy SUV lineup, larger than the Equinox, but smaller than the full-size Chevy Traverse. Its GMC relative is the GMC Acadia.

Minor changes were made to the Blazer for each model year that it was released since 2019, but 2023 has brought the first mid-generation facelift. The facelift includes new headlights and taillights, a new grille design, new optional 21-inch alloy wheels, new exterior colors, and a larger 10-inch infotainment system, among some other style changes.

The overall exterior has been given more angular dynamism, with the front end in particular now looking more aggressive with its narrow headlight signature, large grille, and sharp body lines.

The latest Chevrolet Blazer is available in 5 different trim levels: 2LT, LT, 3LT, RS, and Premier. Prices range from around $35,000 for the base-level 2LT, and up to $44,000 for the top-end Premier model.

Under the hood, the standard powertrain is a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine delivering up to 228-hp, but those who buy the 3LT trim or higher will be able to access a 3.6-liter V6 engine that makes as much as 308-hp. Both powertrains are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

For those who want greater towing capacity as well as just more power in general, the V6 engine raises the bar from the standard 1,500-lbs managed by the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, up to 4,500-lbs.

On the inside, fans of the Chevrolet Camaro will see a welcome sight where the design language has been heavily influenced by that iconic Chevy sports car. It includes a two-tone color scheme, retro-styled hand-adjustable a/c vents, and not an inch of cheap nasty plastic in sight.
