About the Q8

The Audi Q8 is a luxury crossover SUV made by VW-owned Audi and is one of the newer models that has come to their already eclectic SUV range, having first arrived back in the 2019 model year. It is the largest-available SUV in the Q-Series of SUV models, and acts now as the flagship SUV model of the range.

First introduced as a concept in 2017, the Audi Q8 was imagined as a crowning addition to the already popular series of SUV models, which are already among the most celebrated in this tough and competitive sector. It shares its platfrom with the similar but slightly smaller Q7 SUV and the performance-focused Porsche Cayenne from VW's sports brand.

Powertrain options include a standard 3.0L V6 engine, as well as a V6 PHEV offering. The more powerful option is a 4.0L V8 engine, but that’s only available on the SQ8 and RS Q8 models. The 4.0L V8 outputs up to 500-hp and 570 lb-ft of torque on the SQ8.

With prices for the baseline Premium trim starting at $71,995 in the 2022 model year, it’s hardly a budget-friendly model. The Premium Plus trim starts at $75,895, and the Prestige trim is at $82,095. Audi is quite generous in the latest 2022 models, however, offering many terrific standard features: built-in navigation, Audi Digital Cockpit, full leather upholstery, heated front seats, panoramic sunroof, and a powered tailgate, as well as 21-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the Audi Q8 is very well appointed in true Audi fashion, offering an elevated and sophisticated look with universal appeal. Passengers are treated to 4-zone climate control, full leather dashboard with attractive contrast stitching, and even an optional driver head-up display.

The Audi Q8 is a real tech-head’s dream, with all manner of cutting-edge ADAS and camera technology available to make drives safe and comfortable. On the road, the car performs admirably with highly capable handling and surprising agility for such a large SUV.
